InterferQuant
N slits, decoherence, which-path info. Theory vs. particle-by-particle build-up.
What is this?
An interactive double-slit simulator for one, two or many slits. It combines the exact far-field (Fraunhofer) interference/diffraction prediction with a particle-by-particle probabilistic build-up, so you can watch the fringe pattern emerge one impact at a time. You can tune the particle (photon, electron, neutron, atom), the slit geometry, source coherence, which-path information, environmental decoherence and detector noise, and compare quantum vs. classical predictions.
How it works
Pick a preset or set the parameters live, then fire particles: the histogram of impacts accumulates next to the exact theoretical curve. Views include the experiment layout, particle build-up, amplitude & phase, quantum-vs-classical comparisons, and fringe visibility vs. coherence. An explanations panel covers the concepts and every parameter at four levels (basic, intermediate, mathematical, expert). It is a static browser app — no install — in English and Spanish (it follows the site language, with an in-app toggle). This web port covers the closed-form Levels 1-4 (the desktop app's 2D Schrodinger solver is not included).
